Veena Malik accused of assault by female co-star

A co-star has accused the controversial Veena Malik of purposely injuring her during a fight sequence for the film ‘Mumbai 125′. Malik was reportedly not on good terms with co-actress Vedita Pratap, who is learnt to have been injured on her forehead as a result of the scene.
According to sources, the Pakistani actress had to pull Pratap by the neck and bang her head on an iron rod in a scene but it got too far. The director, Hemant Madhukar, had to be called in as the furious actress said that Malik had intentionally hurt her.
She was reportedly nursed at a city hospital and is said to be currently undergoing treatment to get rid of the scar on her forehead.

Pratap confirmed the incident and accused Malik of ‘over acting’.
"It was an action sequence. I was supposed to be beaten up. I don’t know what happened to Veena. She actually hurt me and she did it so badly that I had nail marks on my body. I don’t know what was wrong with her. And then she pushed me so badly and banged my head on the rod," a Mumbai newspaper quoted her as saying.
"After the incident, I spoke to the director and told him that she is deliberately doing this. Acting is one thing, but this is just over acting," she said.
When asked asked if there was any enmity between the two of them, Pratap said that Malik must be ‘insecure’.
"I don’t know. I think somewhere she is just insecure or just waited for the opportunity to do something like this to me. As a result of the injury, I have marks on my forehead, which I have to undergo treatment to get rid off," she said.

Kareena’s stunts impress Saif in ‘Agent Vinod’

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor has always maintained that she loves romantic and glamorous roles but she has apparently shed her feminine image and done some real action sequences for upcoming film ‘Agent Vinod’,
produced by her beau Saif Ali Khan.
Saif, the central character in the spy thriller, has said his leading lady was initially hesitant to do stunts but later agreed and she has done a commendable job.
Since ‘Agent Vinod’ is an action flick, stunts are bound to be an integral part of it. Even the promos show hard core action and chasing sequences of car and bikes.

She (Kareena) had said she does not like doing action but she is very good at it. She has got pretty intense expression when she does it. She was very very good while doing it," Saif maintained.
Last year, Kareena had injured herself while shooting in New Delhi for a high-octane stunt sequence for the film.
Interestingly, even Saif had a tough time doing action and ended hurting himself quite often.
"As far as me doing action, I thought it would be fun but every inch of my body was bruised and coloured in some amazing purple, yellow blotches…I had not seen something like this ever.

AGNEEPATH smashes records- left, right & centre!

It was expected and as well as predicted (in our box-office report) that the Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, and Rishi Kapoor starrer, AGNEEPATH, was all set for a bumper start. But the opening of the Karan Malhotra directed film surpassed our expectations, and the start can only be termed as earth-shattering.

AGNEEPATH posters

The first day (Republic Day holiday) saw occupancies in the range of 95-100 percent in almost all the circuits, barring Rajasthan, which was a tad lower, hovering between 80-85 percent. The story was similar from Mumbai to Muzaffarpur and Hyderabad to Haldwani, which in a nutshell means both at the mass and class centers.

Vidya Balan looks for missing husband at railway station

It seems mere music launches and interviews won’t suffice a film’s promotion. Now-a-days film marketing has evolved to such an extent that reel characters come to life in the real world to create a buzz about their film.

As per sources, Vidya made an appearance in her pregnant look from the film KAHAANI at one of the railway stations in Mumbai. And like in the film, where Vidya goes searching for her husband at every nook and corner, she probed the people present at the site about her husband as a part of the promotional campaign.

Vidya Balan

As Vidya Balan arrived the crowd went berserk watching their favourite actress. She then went ahead to the platform and even boarded a local train.

AGNEEPATH the original vs AGNEEPATH the remake

The Amitabh Bachchan starrer blockbuster AGNEEPATH still lingers in the hearts of many. Amitabh’s portrayal of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan is one of the most celebrated characters of Bollywood films, while Danny Dengzongpa became synonymous with Kancha Cheena.

AMITABH BACHCHAN and HRITHIK ROSHAN

Dharma Productions revisits the film with Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt in the key roles. While Hrithik portrays Vijay, Sanjay takes over the menacing Kancha Cheena. Debutant Karah Malhotra helms the director’s baton.

Akshaye Khanna wants to bring discipline in India

Not just a common man, but even Bollywood celebs want to see India in a different light. Like any Indian, actor Akshaye Khanna wants to bring about a change for the betterment of our country.

Akshaye Khanna

When we asked Akshaye about the one thing he would like to change about India, the actor courageously said, "We need discipline in our country. Everybody should be little more disciplined. That is a good gesture to show to your country. In our country everything is chaotic."

Akshay-Aamir-Salman crave for PAIYAA remake

Both Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have shown Bollywood how well made south Indian remakes can rake in fortunes, their films like GHAJINI, WANTED and BODYGUARD have been extremely successful at the box-office. And according to recent reports, the two Khans have also shown interest in remaking PAIYAA, a super hit romantic film in the SOUTH. But, according to the buzz, not only Salman and Aamir but Akshay Kumar is also keen to work in PAIYAA.

AKSHAY KUMAR, AAMIR KHAN and SALMAN KHAN

PAIYAA, which is a romantic movie, could go a long way in infusing a refreshing change in the careers of the three super stars. For the Khans it could prove to be a break from hard-hitting action films and revive the magic of their earlier romantic image. For Akshay Kumar, PAIYAA could be a blessing after the relentless spate of comedies, marking a major watershed in his long career. There is a buzz in Bollywood that the three stars are seriously considering the Tamil blockbuster as their next big blockbuster. However, it remains to be seen who actually gets the potential pot of gold.

Farhan is not ready for a double role

Farhan Akhtar is going through an interesting stage of his career where he is enjoying the best of both worlds – direction as well as acting. While he was the most successful of the lot when he dabbled in both affairs independently last year (‘DON 2′ and ‘ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA), he has no intention whatsoever to play the double role of being a director-actor in the same film.

"Ever since he first faced the camera for ROCK ON, he has been inundated with offers to design a film which he directs as well as acts in. Even though he has his own production house, outsiders too have shown keen interest in him playing this double role. However Farhan hasn’t fallen to the temptation. He is sure that if he is calling the shots as a director, by no means would he be facing the camera", says a source.

FARHAN AKHTAR

This can be evidenced from the fact that whether it is ROCK ON, LUCK BY CHANCE, KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK or ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, there has been some other director at the helm of affairs even though he has produced each of these films. On the other hand for DON 2 too he hired Kunal Kapoor to play the second lead even though he could have comfortably fitted into that part. The trend is now expected to continue with BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG (where he is playing the central protagonist) as well as his next directorial venture.

Meet JOKER’s ‘Majnu Tangewala’!

Shirish Kunder’s next directorial venture after JAAN-E-MANN is more or less complete, but very little is known about the content of the film. We are obviously referring to the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer, 3D venture JOKER.

ARYA BABBAR

However apart from the above mentioned leads there are quite a few interesting characters in the film and amongst them is actor Arya Babbar, who has a special but madcap role in JOKER.

Revealed – The plot of Sunny’s BHAIYYAJI SUPERHIT

Now this one caught us really off guard. For his upcoming film BHAIYYAJI SUPERHIT, Sunny Deol is going through two major changes. First and foremost he won’t be playing a Punjabi in the film and secondly, he is playing a Don who, hold your breath, wants a film to be made on himself.

Informs our well placed source, "With the success of YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA behind him, Sunny has made up his mind to do more action-comedies. One such change is to stop playing a Punjabi in each of his films, as is the case with BHAIYYAJI SUPERHIT. Secondly he would be seen as a Varanasi based Don who dreams of seeing himself on the big screen."

SUNNY DEOL

To facilitate this mad affair, he seeks the services of Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor who are playing a director and a writer respectively. While Arshad has played an actor in SHORT KUT – THE CON IS ON (where Akshaye Khanna had played a director), Tusshar was seen as a writer in his last release THE DIRTY PICTURE.
